It's hard to believe that if Jack LaLanne were alive today, he would be 100 years old! And no doubt, he would still be working out and juicing every single day. Known as the "Godfather of Fitness," LaLanne spent decades inspiring people to get fit through daily exercise and healthy nutrition. His generous spirit and charismatic presence made him a natural for the television medium, not to mention a revered figure in the DRTV world. Sadly, LaLanne passed away on January 23, 2011, at the age of 96.
During the 2011 ERA Moxie Awards Gala, ERA honored LaLanne posthumously with the first-ever DR Icon Award, recognizing him for his significant contributions to the DR industry. His wife of 51 years, Elaine LaLanne, accepted the award during the special presentation.
Check out this 2002 infomercial for Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer in which the fitness guru turns to the audience and says, "Remember, anything in life is possible…make it happen."
