For nearly three years, ERA has made it its mission to help association members and the direct response marketing community to bridge the gap between traditional DR and digital marketing by offering business development opportunities and education at ERA conferences and by delivering online and printed content highlighting digital marketing best practices. Our goal has always been to enable direct-to-consumer marketers to become as adept in digital marketing as they are in DRTV.
What’s more, the association has taken these efforts a step further with an exciting announcement...
ERA has recently formed a strategic marketing alliance with the Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE). The new partnership will promote crossover attendance for both ERA’s and IRCE’s respective major conferences, with the objective of increased interaction between the two communities.
The participants in IRCE include the world’s most innovative e-commerce professionals, while ERA members comprise the leaders in direct response television, online, and radio.
Through this historic alliance, IRCE and ERA will also work together to provide educational resources and business growth networking opportunities at each of their respective events—IRCE - Chicago in June; ERA D2C Convention - Las Vegas in September, and The Great Ideas Summit - San Juan, Puerto Rico, in February 2017. The collaboration will also encompass special offers for first-time attendees at each event, as well as targeted conference sessions, workshops, and business development opportunities.
Commenting on this new partnership to ER magazine, ERA Executive Director Chris Reinmuth said, “It is a cornerstone of ERA’s strategic plan that we help our members interface with and understand the e-commerce industry. By joining together with IRCE, a major networking and educational destination for digital marketers, we are effectively positioned to deliver unprecedented business-building and learning opportunities to ERA members.”
IRCE also commented about the value of this alliance in a recent statement. “We believe that our two communities can learn a lot from each other,” said Joan Dyer, Director of Marketing for IRCE. “To that end, we are excited to partner with ERA, and encourage people to engage more actively across all three events.”
