The Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP) recently released its General Activity Report for the ERSP Review Program. The report discusses ERSP’s latest activities under its program to review telemarketing scripts and calls, as well as recordings of live real estate investing seminars by companies participating in its Review Program. On February 22, advertising self-regulation was featured on a panel at Social Media Week NYC. The panel, titled “Honest Ads and Clear Disclosures,” was moderated by John Feldman of Reed Smith, and featured Laura Brett (Assistant Director, NAD), Katie Goldstein (Senior Staff Attorney, CARU), and Jessica Grodzki (Advertising Review Specialist, ERSP). The panelists discussed legal issues that arise on a variety of social media platforms, including endorsements, user-generated content, native advertising, and how kids navigate social media.
ERSP Director Peter Marinello will be speaking on a panel entitled “Unauthorized Landing Pages: Avoid Rogue Advertisers with Self-Regulation,” with Gayla Huber, President, IntegriShieldat LeadsCon Las Vegas on Tuesday, March 15. The panel will explore compliance risks and self-regulation within the lead generation industry.
