Golf is said to be much more than just a leisure sport, especially when it is mixed with business. A game of golf has become the modern day business lunch and the perfect venue for deal-making. That’s why ERA is bringing a golf tournament to the deal-makers at The Great Ideas Summit 2016.

The inaugural ERA golf tournament will be played on the New Course, Jack Nicklaus’ tribute to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. This manicured masterpiece features double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, 12-feet deep burns and pot bunkers. Experience the true feeling of Scotland in the comfort of the Florida sunshine with your industry pals and prospective leads.

Not that you probably need any help but an article from lays out a few tips for how to handle business on the greens. One tip suggests all business talk be discussed between the 5th and 15th hole to ensure to exhibit patience and ensure a successful deal and game.

If golf isn’t really your forte, don’t be discouraged! The Great Ideas Summit and the Grand Cypress resort have much more in store for you. If you love physical activity, you can easily explore a variety of other options including boating, beach volleyball, or biking all within the resort. If you prefer to relax in a more low key manner then you can enjoy a drink poolside while enjoying one of the resort’s 12 pool waterfalls.

Lastly, if you want to venture off the grounds and explore beautiful Orlando, you will find many opportunities for adventure and excitement. How about taking in a show at the new Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The striking glass and steel building parallel to city hall offers four theaters and great show lineup. Check out the schedule here.

Or, check out Epcot in a whole new way with an Around the World Bar Crawl. You can head out with some colleagues to visit your favorite countries all within walking distance to each other. Have Grand Mariner in Paris, a Bratwurst and beer in Germany, and a flight of Tequila in the Mexican pavilion.

There is a little something for everyone in Orlando, so join ERA and the other industry deal-makers to experience it together for the first time in February 2016 at The Great Ideas Summit.
