Earlier this summer, our GA Committee had a super treat from our friends at the Digital Advertising Alliance. We were joined by Geni Barton, Vice President and Director of the Online Interest-Based Advertising Self-Regulatory Council for the Council of Better Business Bureaus.
Now that’s a long title!
Genie was joined by another longtime ERA friend and Interest-Based Advertising expert, Mike Signorelli of Venable LLP.
Together they gave us a baseline on DAA mobile guidance, and more generally highlighted the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Their presentation gives critical insight into what Online Behavioral Advertising is. In addition, they discussed the Digital Advertising Alliance's mobile guidance, which focuses on transparency, control, and cross-device guidance.
Finally, they covered accountability—the critical cornerstone of all self-regulatory initiatives.
