Smaller and less hectic than the annual Las Vegas conference, The Great Ideas Summit is a more intimidate and relaxing environment that helped strengthen past relationships, as well as create new ones.

The final day of The Great Ideas Summit brought thunderstorms to Orlando, but that didn’t stop the Deal-Makers inside. As the conference winded down, the networking and education continued.
The morning began in the Deal-Makers Club, as we have been calling the show floor this week. Many exhibitors continued to hold meetings within their booths and make deals before the show floor drew to a close at 3 p.m.
The second day of Great Ideas was feature-packed with plenty of networking opportunities along with valuable educational content. Among the many highlights was the Keynote by STiKi Founder and CEO Robin Shapiro. During his presentation entitled, “Ring in the New: Engaging Consumers in the Smartphone Age,” Shapiro explained that in order to reach consumers who use their mobile devices to learn and take action, marketers must deploy cost-effective smartphone strategies, including interactive text messaging, geofencing, 2D barcode incorporation, and digital coupon distribution. He said, “Properly utilized, consumer-initiated texting technology will take marketers’ prospects directly to the cash register.”
This year’s Great Ideas Summit began at sunrise with ERA’s Inaugural Golf Tournament. Players enjoyed a perfect Monday on the greens, combining a little networking with much-needed tee time.
